Care Guide:

1. Housing:

  • Use a medium-sized enclosure or insect container with good ventilation.

  • Provide a 5–10 cm layer of decayed hardwood substrate or beetle breeding soil.

  • Add cork bark or logs for climbing and shelter.

2. Temperature & Humidity:

  • Ideal temperature: 22–26°C

  • Humidity: 60–80%

  • Lightly mist the enclosure 2–3 times per week to maintain appropriate humidity levels.

3. Feeding:

  • Offer beetle jelly (available from exotic pet suppliers) or soft, overripe fruits like banana and apple.

  • Replace food every 2–3 days to prevent mould and pests.

4. Breeding:

  • Females lay eggs in decayed wood or a specialised breeding substrate.

  • Larvae should be housed individually in containers filled with soft, decaying wood or larval substrate.

  • The larval stage can last from several months up to a year, depending on environmental conditions.

Note:
Adult Rainbow Stag Beetles typically live for 6 to 12 months. With proper care and conditions, the full life cycle from egg to adult can be successfully managed at home.
